Task Objective
The objective of this task is to develop and demonstrate extremely linear and power-efficient 90-140 GHz transceivers with 20 GHz of instantaneous bandwidth. The building blocks will consume low power on average by allowing the performance specifications to be traded for power. The receiver will be co-designed with a broadband ADC with the ability to trade off bandwidth/resolution to save power. The transmitter will employ multi-phase power combining, supply modulation, out-phasing, and other techniques to improve peak and back-off efficiency.
