Task Objective
The objective of this task is to develop and demonstrate a controller/driver chip for the large-radix fast optical MEMS-based SuperSwitch enabling single-hop (direct optical connectivity) among hundreds of host SoCs at ultra-low power per port, independent of the throughput, and with short configuration/switching latency (sub-1us) – addressing the massive connectivity challenges of AI/ML systems scale-out and radar/mm-wave MIMO radio units with back-end processing elements, described in related Theme 1 and 3 tasks.
